HisLand – Blanka Ježková
“As Christians, how can we share the message of Jesus Christ with children in a way that is just as captivating?”
This very question inspired Blanka Ježková – a mother, teacher, editor, and church children’s program leader – to start a new platform called HISland in 2020. Blanka left her job and, quite literally in her kitchen, began what has grown into a creative Christian publishing house and a flourishing community.
Through God’s care, Hisland has been able to:
- Publish five interactive books and programs,
- Collaborate with four international partners to bring HISland materials not only to Czech audiences but also abroad,
- Build a community of supporters who use HISland resources in churches and at home.
The project is growing, and with that growth comes the need to build a stronger team and establish a stable financial foundation. The quality of Christian resources for children depends, among other things, also on how much value we place on them – and how much we’re willing to invest. In January 2025, we established the nonprofit organization HISland, z.s., and we’re now inviting everyone who shares our vision to join us. Even the smallest financial contribution can help HISland continue to grow. Together, we can create work that brings children joy, hope, and the vibrant message of the Gospel in forms that resonate with them in today’s world.
