Via Comenia is founded on the educational philosophy of J.A. Comenius, who believed that all people should be lifelong learners. A person should acquire

not only new information but also understanding oneself to develop character and understand one’s environment to improve the world in which we live.

The fund provides financial support for people and places through programs and projects, utilizing education, according to the principles of John Amos Comenius in the areas of:

• Education of pupils, students, teachers, parents, and the public.
• Creation and organization of educational programs and activities for children, youth, and adults.
• Establishment and development of schools, educational institutions, and other organizations working with children and youth.
